With the advent of the Disabled access laws (DDA) in the UK, not ensuring your web presence is accessible to the disabled can now be seen as discrimination much like places of business needing to install ramps for wheelchair access, business web sites have to be created and coded in a certain way to ensure they meet these standards and compatibility with software like speech browsers.

Most sites these days despite these laws coming in are not compliant meaning many sites are still difficult for some to use.
